Beyond the last wave

Today was a hmmm kind of day....a challenging one.
I was not feeling too good, still getting over a cold and my mind was not here.
During my lake visit (it's where I find peace of mind), I realised that I was not looking far into the water. My visual attraction continued to go to the shallow end. Everytime I looked up wanting to see far into the water, my eyes kept coming back to the rocks and the crashing of the waves just beneath me.

And I found this quote and it made sense...

"Pick the day. Enjoy it - to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come... The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present - and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future."
