Customer Service Conquers All
Now more than ever, customer service is extremely critical to the success of any organization.
So I bought me a nice coat last week from "the Bay". It was a Bianca Nygard, black, totally cool short coat.
End of day friday I lose a button.
End of day Saturday, I lose another button.
Seriously! 48 hours later I was left with fabric and lots of strings.
I decide to take go back to the department store with the hopes that they would switch it for me.
We looked up and down, but there was no sweet 'ol jacket in sight. So the lady, decides to go through 80 some buttons looking for the matching ones.
I was in buttonville land. Leather, metal, small, large, red, black, mother of pearl and many more. The lady was committed to finding me the missing buttons. She was totally in the zone.
15 minutes later we emerge with matching buttons {phew} but the funny thing is I did not care about them anymore. I was so pleased with how she handled this situation, how apologetic she was, how she did not give up and on top of that, she gave me a 25% discount {for my patience}.
My background is customer service and when you are good to your customers, business will roll in.
